Frequently Asked Questions
It depends on how many days you actually want to be online. If you only need internet for a couple of port days or to check in once or twice, buying WiFi day by day is usually cheaper. If you want to stay connected most of the sailing, the full-cruise package almost always wins because its effective per-day rate is discounted. This calculator does the math both ways so you can see the crossover point for your exact trip.
It varies by line. Most lines (Royal Caribbean, Carnival, Celebrity, MSC, Disney) price WiFi per device, so a second or third connected device multiplies the cost. NCL prices its onboard internet add-on per stateroom, so adding devices does not raise the price. This calculator accounts for the difference automatically once you pick a line.
Basic (often called Surf or Social) is built for messaging, email, web browsing, and social apps. Streaming adds the bandwidth needed for video calls, Netflix, music streaming, and uploading large files. Streaming costs more per day, so only pick it if you genuinely need video or live calls. For staying in touch and light browsing, basic is the better value.
Verified rates come from our pricing data layer where available. Several lines are shown with clearly-labeled editable estimates because cruise WiFi pricing changes often and is not always published per device. Treat the estimated lines as a planning guide, then confirm the exact rate in your cruise line's app or planner before you sail.
